Sunday 12th September - Prague

Hello everybody. Here we are blogging again - a bit late starting due to password problems. Does anybody know the Czech for "Please translate this page into English"?

We had a had a pleasant flight and arrived on time despite boarding half an hour late. The extra few quid for long legroom seats was definitely worth it though not a patch on how we flew last time. It was a bit of a blow having to pay for our G&T.

We arrived just as it was getting dark but it was a lot warmer than our last visit. Bus and Metro to Andel where we found our digs - less than 50 yards from the Metro entrance and about 10 yards from the tram stop. Basically we have a very nice, modern bedsit on the second floor over a pub with a small kitchen and a couple of lounge chairs. The big election poster covering the windows is barely noticeable from the inside. If you look carefully you can see one of our windows in the top right hand corner of the picture below the letters NOP, the other is neatly hidden by the tall guy one from the right. A big plus is that the room includes broadband.

As it was getting quite late we dumped our bags and headed out for sonething to eat. We walked round the corner to Zlaty Klas, a sort of bier and food kellar where we had a good meal last time. It was not as busy this visit although we were jammed onto a tiny table with very little legroom. The place was full of smokers - amazing how quickly we have got used to cleaner air at home. Rosena had roast duck with dumplings and red cabbage, while Dave had three meat special with dumplings and crispy fried onions. Both plates were enormous but we were quite hungry and only left a couple of bits of dumpling.

On the way home we called in at Tesco to buy breakfast. We have missed a trick - they now take Clubcard over here. We turned in for a night on the terry towelling sheets - So that's what happened to Brentford Nylons.

  1. As far as I can remember it's:

"Prosím, přeložit tuto stránku do angličtiny"?

Is this another holiday or have you defected?
